Advice from people who have taken Agnus Castus?

I have been taking 1600mg (recommended dose) of this for approximatly one month as my periods have been 57 days apart since I had a miscarriage last April. They were previously every 35 days. Since taking Agnus Castus I had one period after 40 days and then another after 16 days!!. Has anyone else experienced this. Please don't say go to doctor as I have been 3 times and they tell me there is nothing they can do and I am on waiting list for gynae at hospital. Any comments from people who have tried this would be helpful. xxAdvice from people who have taken Agnus Castus?
I think you may be taking too much Vitex, regardless of what it says on the bottle. I myself take 800mg and I havent had a super short cycle like that yet. But before I started Vitex I had really long cycles 33-170 days sometimes.


I havent seen many people taking as much Vitex as you are, so maybe that is the reason! I'd say cut your dosage in half from now on and see if that helps


1600mg is a LOT! Even the popular ';fertility'; vitamins like Fertilaid and Ovulex only have 20mg of Vitex in them - and the Vitex is supposed to be the main active ingredient!


Ive seen women (on the forums I go to) taking anywhere from 240mg a day and they definitely benefit from it. But in my opinion 1600mg is way too much girl!Advice from people who have taken Agnus Castus?
Hi, I have taken this about 3 years ago because I used to have very bad PMS and was told that his could help. I however have not experienced any irregular cycles neither before or after taking this.
Be careful, taking too much vitex can be bad for your heart! I took a liquid form of vitex for 10 days to try and bring back periods after depo shot, it made me really nauseas and I started having heart palpitations so stopped taking it. I think it worked though cos 3 wks later my period returned.
