Advice with people?

I'm editor-in-chief of my school newspaper and it's been pretty much confirmed that I'm keeping this position.

but lately, there has been a person who wants the position badly. She has done more things in journalism, but i know im the better leader. the teacher said i will definitely get the position but the person still worries me. the person might to try some sort of riot.

the sad part is, i helped her get known in this class in the first place and now she is backstabbing me. any advice on dealing with this situation? i just feel annoyed

You need a questionable picture of her doing something embarressing or against the rules. She needs to know that you have that picture. Knowing that it could get published will keep her at bay.

There is never a tactful way to deal with backstabbers. You have to play their game the same way they play it in order to win it. I never have liked being dirty, but as a defense it can at times be the only option.

I am sure your teacher recognizes that you are being threatened by this situation. Try having a talk with them and clarifying the situation so the teacher can watch your back too, and keep a look out for her trying to take your job.

Well you can tell the teacher your fears and ask him to keep a watch on her so she doesn't try anyhting and honestly if the teacher says you have the position then you have it and there is nothing she can say or do about it.
