ok, I come from a long line of clutterers and pack rats and I've become addicted to that show Clean House. I am trying to get my house in order after many years of neglect. Except for a few corners
(and the garage... and the kitchen i'm trying!) I have managed to clean and for the most part de-clutter the rooms. I am at the stage of maintenance. I am really trying to stick with ';everything has a place, and everything in it's place';.
My question, to the clean and tidy, organized people is:
Don't you ever get tired of putting stuff away? omg.
I mean seriously, I understand the only way to truly keep it tidy is to put something back as soon as you are finished with it.. but my god.
sometimes i just don't even care. i think the thing that bothers me the most is always having to hang up my coat.... every time i do it
i'm thinking... i'm just going to take it out again! ahhhh
i need help Cleanies and Tidiers! do you have any motivational tips
on any words of advice?
i'm tired of being a Messy!
thank you in advance. :DClean and tidy people, advice please?
The less you have the less you have to clean and put away.
As for the coats...put a long rack in your garage with hooks and put them all there.Clean and tidy people, advice please?
I am a struggling messy myself, so I can relate. But I have found that you have to purge your house and closets of everything you do not need at least once a year, but better if done quarterly. The Goodwill takes just about everything, so I know things will have a good home. I am trying to get back to the way the house looked when I was first married. Few belongings and easy to clean and keep that way.
of coarse i get tired of putting stuff away! but just think, if u don't put stuff away, after a while it will clutter up a lot and you will hate it even more.try to think positive and with a clean house you will be more happy. stupid right? well actually it's true! if you keep everything tidy you won't have as much to worry about and won't be as stressed. spend at least 20 minutes a day tidying up. it will pay off, trust me! :)
i sometimes behave like you too...feeling lazy to put back the things after use (you might thinking that you may need to use that things soon after, why bother to put it back?)
well, it's ok for me if there is only one or two things that is misplaced because normally i will do a clean-up once a week (it takes me about 10 minutes) to put all the things back to their original place. then my room will be tidier after that..
hope it helps! :)
i get what u mean i want to clean an then i dont an just get mad evan when i half to put my coat up sometimes i just though it in the colset i dont care an i am trying to change an my mom said today i half to clean the whole bathroom which stinks but it needs to be clean so maybe you can do i tiny bit every day an then u will soon like it thanks for question hope u get to cleaning soon thanks agin bye
LOL, you sound insanely lazy if you can't even hang up your own coat without complaining.
It's just automatic for me, if you have an ';I don't care'; attitude, then your house will reflect on that. Why are you even trying if you simply don't care?
Make a firm commitment to do just ten minutes housework every evening before you go out or sit down to watch telly. You'll be so amazed to see how much you can get through in ten minutes but you must promise yourself never never never to put it off till later.
My best tip for tidiness is boxes: small boxes to go in drawers, all of them labelled, and bigger boxes that can be stacked to hold shoes and smaller things like panties of a size that can. Shoe boxes are great.
I'm messy too :( and I have a two year old who is messy and I have a husband who is messy... I know how to be clean and I get these crazy moments where I will clean like crazy and I know how to clean I know it's in me somewhere but usually im messy... VERY messy! visit flylady.net or .com im not sure which it is or just goggle search it and buy the book sink reflections from her site, it's great! I'm not good at sticking with things so i'm still messy but i can say that since reading her book and website I have hugely improved my house!
my summed up story is:
I have been messy my whole life well then around december of 2006 we bought a house that we remodled and moved into well mid remodle and move i went into early labor and had our first son and our move went very sloppy dispite all my hard work and I had a c-section so i couldn't move much I was depending on my husband and his friends and well long story short we ended up spending the next couple months in mine and my husbands bedroom, we pretty much didn't use our house lol so embarassing! but now my house is livable and that was a struggle for me honestly. so yeah visit the site read the book i won't promis it will fix you but it will help
