Why is it we all think we can give people advice on relationships but we can't even make our own work?

i just wonderedWhy is it we all think we can give people advice on relationships but we can't even make our own work?
I feel the same way!!!! My friends always come to me for advice and I always know exactly what to tell them. But when it comes to my relationships I get clueless and lost as to what I should do. I think with our friends we tend to not have our minds blocked but also we dont think as much/overanalyze as much so its easier to be clear on what to tell them to do.Why is it we all think we can give people advice on relationships but we can't even make our own work?
Sometimes when your looking from the outside and are non biased you can give a good answer to there problems.

When its your own problems you are caught up in all the emotion and cannot think clearly thats why we often suggest to others to take a look at your own problems from outside the box! You see more clearly that way as to what things really are!
Because we have all been there, and sometimes if you tell a friend relationship advice then they'll use it, either way it might just work. And well, when your in a relationship you know the person a little too much and that's why its tough to talk to the person about stuff, and stuff like that. it ain't easy to answer this, lmao
It is easier to see the answer to the problem of others objectively. We cannot make it work for others nor for ourselves, simply because we do not have any control of the other person involved. It takes two in any relationship to be willing to work on the issues, often there will be one willing and the other may not want to be part of a solution.
because people are ignorant and think they can be Dr. Phil when them themselves can't even put their own theories in action..they just say what sounds good and could work. everyone wants to have the answer when in reality, how can they even know what's best for a relationship?

--power to you my friend. =)
You're distant enough from the problem to think logically. When it's your own problem, emotions cloud the ability to think straight.
It seems we can be more sensible when we are not directly or emotionally involved but I do wish I'd take my own advice on times!
EXACTLY! people always give me advice that NEVER works. Sometimes i wonder why i even ask questions. I guess it's fun.
Dr. Phil must have quite serious personal problems
It's fun
I AGREE WITH JOHN..
Because it is harder to practice what we preach than we think!
