Straight people? Advice?

I have a friend, I'm not sure if he's gay or bi, however, he's always using gay jokes. No, this doesn't really bother me, because they're never insulting (you'll see in a minute). I'm bisexual.





My main question: is he really just unsure himself and looking for comfort or something?? This is wierd, because I've never met anyone who'll use jokes like he does.





He's made comments in the past ';he's putting on his heels, and I need to get ready'; since he's ';taking me out';.





No, I'm not out about my sexuality, and never have given any signs (around him) of me being bisexual.

So, he makes the gay jokes around you but doesn't know that you are gay?? If so, he is probably just playing around and having fun. I have a few friends that act that wayStraight people? Advice?
That's a tough one....I know straight people who make lots of gay jokes....it could mean he's 100% comfortable being around gay people, or it could mean he's testing the waters to see how you'll take it if he comes out.





I guess you'll just have to play the waiting game. Either he really doesn't mean anything, or he does mean something. You'll eventually see....

ohh i see...it makes more sense now. well to be honest there is the chance he's a little confused about his sexuality but also that he's just having a laugh, which a lot of straight guys do. you don't really have a lot to go on...but in my experience if he were actually gay he wouldn't be doing that unless he was ready to come out of the closet, because things like that would naturally arouse suspicion among peers. then again i'm a lesbian so i don't really know lol. do you get any sort of vibe from him?

and alot of the guys at my school make fun of gay people, like all the time, gay men especially, and just randomly call people gay. i think its their way of showing that they themselves are more masculine compared to other boys. and the cheap jokes just give them a real laugh.


i think he's just having a laugh, because he's just using whatever jokes come easiest to him, and nowadays people find gay jokes pretty easy to come by, like ';ahaha, thats pretty gay, man';
