well im starting on monday doing public services, like police/army/fire service. im interested in police. im really worried because its like starting a new school and im scared ill be the only girl as it sounds like a boys course. also, im worred about the hiking gear i had to get as it looks sooo stupid on me and i dont want to be embarassed. anyways, can anyone tell me what the first day is like, or anything at all so i dont worry so much? really, i just want to hear some stories to get a feel of what its like.Advice from people who have been to or are in college? HEY I HAVE A BLOG WHERE I TALK ABOUT SOME COLLEGE STUFF. http://askthecollegekid.blogspot.com/Advice from people who have been to or are in college? (UK college)?
Don't worry honey, you'll be in a real mixed bunch of people, all worried that they won't say or do the right thing (when there isn't really a 'right thing' to do anyway). There will be a few dorks, some will not have the stuff that they should have got, some will be potential high flyers, some will be as thick as two short planks. Think melting pot, think big mix and that's what you get. It will be a fun learning experience, not for the lessons (though they will be fine) but for the people and the newness of it all. It will be the most exciting and amazing time, so go for it girl and enjoy every minute. You will fit like a glove
