Advice from people with Yellow Labs?

So I just got a six-week old Yellow Lab puppy, and this is my first dog so I don't know a lot about taking care of him. How much should I feed him? What kind of food would be good for him? He's been drinking a lot of water and he pees A LOT!! Is it possible that he could already be potty trained at only six weeks? Because every time he wakes up I take him outside and as soon as I say the word ';potty'; he goes right away. He pees more than he poops though. When do I start giving him medicine for tapeworms? And lastly, what kind of dog shampoo would you recommend? Something that's not too expensive.Advice from people with Yellow Labs?
aaarrrrgghhhhhhhhhhhhh...how can you imagine color...or breed...matters at all????

SIZE matters in amount of feed.

NO,no 6wk.old can POSSIBLY be housebroken!

DON'T give wormer unless it *HAS* tapes!

DON'T scrub it to death! It's a DOG!!! It'll needs a bath once or twice a YEAR!!!!

HOW could you have taken on the responsibility of an animal when you're so amazingly ignorant?

WHAT puppymilliing CROOK sold a pup a MONTH TOO YOUNG???? It needs VACCINATING***NOW***,not some stupid shampoo.

WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS????Advice from people with Yellow Labs?
Be smart; visit a good vet and let him/her set you op on a good management program. Disease is far cheaper to prevent than treat, and a lot less fun Dr. W
your doing a good job at potty training him, but he is not potty trained. if you didnt take him straight out he would go in your house so good job at keeping up with your pup and taking him out after he wakes up. it is possible that he has learned the word potty so its great that he is going ';on que';. instead of giving him water all the time, try giving him large ice cubes that he can't choke on. it gives him the water he needs but he can only get the water when it melts. Or just monitor his water intake. if you dont care that he pees so much, just let him drink whenever. I dont let my pup drink 3 hours before bedtime in the hopes that he won't need to potty in the middle of the night. for shampoo just use baby shampoo, its very safe for dogs or cats. take him to the vet to help with the tape worm thing. if you give dewormer from any store, they will not cover tape worms. you need to purchase somethiing like drontal from the vet to get rid of those. for the food go to dogfoodanalysis.com there you can read reviews on puppy food and choose your favorite. good luck!
