Advice on people constantly ringing my flat with the entryphone?

I live in a block of flats and we have an entryphone/intercom.

Somehow people (builders, postman, and others) who needs to access the building constantly ring MY flat to gain access to the building which results in waking my daughter up everytime. This is really starting to annoy me (we've moved a month ago) - what should I do, put a note on the door? what would you put on the note ';do not ring my flat unless this concerns me or partner'; - any advice will be welcome !Advice on people constantly ringing my flat with the entryphone?
Does your intercom have an on/off switch? If not lift the hand piece and trace the curly wire down to the place where it meets the phone base. At the adjoining point it may have a plug that can be detached, a bit like a telephone plug into the wall.Advice on people constantly ringing my flat with the entryphone?
I'm wondering if you are the first person on the list or if the previous tenants use to let them in.

Next time a tradesman etc buzzes, state that you are not able to let them in and they are to contact either the person who called them in or to contact the landlord / lady to let them in and you would appreciate it if they don't buzz you again.

Disconnecting the buzzer is a good idea but not all friends have phones but what about the genuine caller who doesn't know you, for example courier delivery.

If you feel that disconnecting the buzzer is not a good idea, leave a note near your buzzer asking that trades people do not ring your buzzer unless they are here to see you.

As for your daughter waking up when the buzzer goes off, can you smoother it to dull the sound until she gets use to the noise and not wake up when it goes off?
Since so many people now use mobile phones, you probably don't need the entry-phone for your flat. Disconnect your end of the system. Open the box and cut the wire. Problem solved. Or, if you want to be less violent about it, open the box and stuff cotton batting in there to drastically muffle the sound coming out of it.
Are you the first on the list or something?

I'd just disconnect your bell and tell your friends to prank your mobile when they're downstairs. Anyone else can just assume you're not home.

Screw doorbells anyhow. I want people to call ahead so I have enough time to put on some pants and turn the volume down on the dirty movies, lol... If you ring my doorbell without calling ahead, expect to wait out in the cold until I'm good and ready.
your intercom should have a privacy button on it, our does, and if you press it, you then don;t have it ringing in your place, if you don't have such a button find another intercom or ask landlord to fit one that does have it
Write on it ';Out of Order'; maybe your friends will be the only ones who know it is not and will use it, others will give up.
You can say ';To all tradesmen - Please do not ring for access';
if u dont get a lot of visitors yourself then disconnect it and ask any people that do visit u to ring fromtheir mobiles when outside then u can let them in
at WORK all day so wouldnt know
